Tours Greek Islands
You have two glorious days to spend exploring Mykonos. The most cosmopolitan of all the Greek islands, Mykonos is also well-known for its splendid beaches. This glittering, glamorous destination features an old town that is packed with charm, where whitewashed cubic houses with blue wooden shutters and balconies line labyrinthine cobbled streets. Notable landmarks include the picturesque waterside area of Little Venice, the 18th century Church of the Paraportiani, the Archaelogical Museum and the Aegean Maritime Museum. In Greek mythology Mykonos was the site of a battle between Zeus and the Titans, and named in honour of Apollo's grandson. Don't forget to swim in the sparkling sea and enjoy cocktails at a waterfront restaurant. For sightseeing further afield, take a trip to Delos, believed by the ancients to be the birthplace of Artemis and Apollo, where you will find many interesting temples and sanctuaries.
